IFT team to take part in Tough Mudder to raise money for St Andrew’s Hospice

There’s nothing quite like a team-building exercise when it comes to taking on Tough Mudder, and this event will certainly have a few of us stepping out of our comfort zone!

On the 4th July, the IFT squad will be taking part in Tough Mudder Scotland. Alan Dorricott, Greg Love, Emma Love, Nick Ling, Corin Ling, Paul Gallagher, Iain Eccleston, Daley Richmond and Julie Butland have all signed up for the 10 mile loop of mud-soaked mayhem loaded with 25 best-in-class obstacles. Apparently we should expect a filthy trail and obstacles that will really test our limits, both in mind and in body.

But we are doing it for a great cause and raising money for St Andrew’s Hospice which endeavours to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire, encompassing human dignity and compassion. As Lanarkshire’s only specialist palliative care hospice, they provide multidisciplinary support for their patients, their families and carers. Whilst they receive funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers their running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.
