IFT was contracted by Ratcliffe Building & Maintenance to install 125 sqm of 75mm thick Marshalls Premier Mortars Readymixed Retanol Xtreme Screed at the Salvation Army building in Doncaster. The job was carried out in an extremely tight timescale so that the refurbishment of the Church Hall and school building was completed on time.
The Grade II listed building, formerly used as a Sunday School, has been lightly refurbished to provide flexible spaces such as an open hall and a kitchen area for the Salvation Army.
Site Manager Jonathan Baker commented:
“The operatives that attended site all came along with the correct In date qualifications to carry the work out under the CSCS scheme. All 3 guys had a willing attitude to get the job done and were patient with us while we organised access through a doorway for them. The slab was completed in the timescale agreed and since the screed has been laid we’ve had no problems with the levels. All details (eg door openings, expansion joints etc) were carried out during IFT’s first visit so we haven’t had to arrange a re-visit for any outstanding work. The guys were very pleasant and adhered to all the H&S rules set out to them during their induction when they came to site. A really good experience with the company, who let’s not forget were appointed the Thursday/ Friday before starting on the Monday. Great job lads, thanks for your efforts!”
