IFT Charity Golf Day raises money for Special Olympics Scotland West team

The IFT Charity Golf Day held last week at Eastwood Golf Club was a huge success, raising £2300 for the Special Olympics Scotland West team.

With 36 players from all areas of the construction industry, including main contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors, and manufacturers, the day managed to get off to a great start with the course in superb condition, despite the Glasgow weather.

Liam McKeating of McKeating Ltd won the competition, with Craig Cunningham of Morrison Construction finishing runner-up.

There were many successes on the day and fantastic raffle prizes won, from iPads, to copious bottles of whisky, all handed out by Amy Clark of the Special Olympics Scotland West team who made a special guest appearance. Unfortunately nobody managed to win the £10,000 hole-in-one prize which was up for grabs, however with the weather on the day it was never really under threat!

Thank you to everyone who attended and donated prizes to make this such a successful day and raise a huge amount of money to help take the team to the 2019 Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.
