IFT involved in Historic Scotland’s landmark Engine Shed project in Stirling

Working for ESH Border Construction, IFT have recently completed works on Historic Scotland’s landmark £8.9m Engine Shed project in Forthside, Stirling. The derelict building has been transformed into a world-leading education centre for building conservation in Scotland, creating and delivering educational resources and training on traditional buildings and materials, and is due to open on 3rd July.

IFT provided integrated flooring solutions for Scotland’s dedicated building conservation centre, involving the application of 1015m2 of Isocrete HDKP, a fast drying heavy duty screed, and 800m2 of Flowcrete MF, a heavy duty, chemical resistant antimicrobial treated polyurethane resin floor finish.

The Engine Shed is earmarked to play an important part in helping to achieve objectives highlighted within Scotland’s first historic environment strategy.
