Industrial Floor Treatments employs a highly skilled, trained and certificated workforce, fully experienced in the application of trowel applied screeds. We own and operate a fleet of modern surface preparation equipment, forced action mixer/conveyor pumps and screed finishing tools. Our track record is second to none.
Sand Cement Screeds is the traditional and proven method of providing a suitable base for subsequent floor and roof finishes. It can be used in bonded, unbonded, and floating configurations, level or to falls and over a wide range of thicknesses. In recent times it has been used extensively to encapsulate underfloor heating systems.
Proprietary Screeds such as Isocrete K Screed, Mapei Topcem and Ardex A35, are variations on traditional screeds, providing superior technical performance, particularly in terms of speed of drying to receive floor finishes.
Fibre Reinforced Screeds incorporates polypropylene fibres which largely supplants the use of fabric reinforcement for control of shrinkage cracking. Even dispersion of fibres throughout the screed section enhances the screed in terms of compressive, flexural and impact strength.
Lightweight Screeds for certain roofing applications, and in situations where loading restrictions exist, can be produced by incorporating expanded clay or similar aggregates in traditional screed mixes, with further reduction in mass available from "no-fines" mix designs.
Polymer Modified Screeds are modified traditional screeds incorporating admixtures and aggregates to provide characteristics suited to different, more demanding environments and purposes. The inclusion of synthetic resin polymer, for example, provides high bond strength excellent durability, improved chemical and abrasion resistance in a thin section screed.
