Industrial Floor Treatments have taken on four apprentices to work towards an SVQ Level 2 In-Situ Resin Flooring. This two year scheme will also provide these apprentices with a Blue CSCS Skilled Card which is further evidence of the standard that these apprentices will have achieved. We are the first company within Scotland to take up this scheme, which, without our support could not have started. It is further evidence of our commitment to ensuring that all our Resin Floor Layers are trained to the highest standard.



ISG Regions Ltd, Diageo New Bottling Hall

ISG Regions Ltd took over the contract for the work being carried out at Diageo's Bottling Plant, Leven. Part of this contract was for the construction a new 5,000sqm bottling hall. Industrial Floor Treatments previous work for the client within the plant together with its excellent track record in delivering floors within this industry led us to winning the work to install the resin flooring. Flowfast Terrosso was the floor chosen due to its "fast-track" properties and we worked alongside the client to deliver this floor within a tight timescale while still obtaining the highest standards.



Achilles Accreditation Secured For Third Year In Succession

This internationally recognised supply chain standard involved a full audit of all our H&S procedures as well as looking in detail at the overall compliance of our Environmental & Quality systems together with our Social & Ethical Controls. This sits alongside accreditation already secured through Safecontractor and helps to provide our existing and future clients with full confidence in the standards we set.



Balfour Beatty, New Vet School, Easter Bush

Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd awarded Industrial Floor Treatments the contract to install over 3,000sqm of trowel applied screed at the new college of excellence for the training of Veterinary Surgeons on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Also included in our package was the installation of over 2,500sqm of high quality resin flooring. We have had close involvement throughout this project from the initial stages in September 2009 and will be completing our resin floor finishes towards the end of November 2010.



Barr, New Ryanair Hanger, Prestwick
September 2010
Barr Construction have continued their involvement in the on-going upgrade of Prestwick Airport with the construction of second maintenance hangar for Ryanair. Industrial Floor Treatments prepared and installed 6,000sqm of resin coatings to the new £8m three-bay facility which is due to open in October 2010.

Industrial Floor Treatments have secured accreditation by Safecontractor. This adds to our "Achilles-Building Confidence" accreditation and helps show our clients our commitment to, as well as the robustness of, our health and safety procedures.



Industrial Floor Treatments take FeRFA Project of the Year Award 2009/10

Industrial Floor Treatments , together with Flowcrete UK, are the proud recipients of the award for FeRFA Project of the Year 2009/10.

The prestigious award was presented at the annual FeRFA Awards Dinner & Presentation held at the AGM on Wednesday 9th December at the Forest of Arden Hotel. The award was given for works undertaken at the University of Glasgow's Small Animals Hospital.

At the site a total of 2,600sqm of Flowcrete flooring materials were installed. This incorporated fast-track MMA Flowfast Terrosso on top of fast-drying semi-dry cementitious, Isocrete K-Screed.

The project formed part of larger expansion works at one of the UK's busiest pet hospitals.



Best Building in Scotland Award

The Small Animals Hospital at Glasgow University has won the RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland) Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award 2009. The building beat competition from 28 other submissions for buildings throughout the country. We successfully installed 2,600sqm of high quality resin flooring to this building which helped to bolster the overall aesthetic of the design. BAM, New Riverside Museum

We are currently involved in installing over 4,000sqm of trowel applied screed at Glasgow's new Transport Museum. This technically innovative and complex project, designed by acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid, is due to open in 2011 and will add to the major regeneration project for the former docks and quays alongside the River Clyde.



Balfour Beatty, Edinburgh Airport

BAA is investing over £40m to develop Edinburgh Airport into one of the most modern gateways in Europe as well as supporting hundreds of new jobs. As part of this project we have been sub-contracted by Balfour Beatty to provide over 3,000sqm of trowel and pump applied screed to the new departure lounge extension. The stringent requirements involved to work within this airside project have been well met by our skilled screeders and Contract Management with close dialogue with the main contractor and we are delighted to add this to our list of high profile contracts.
